1. After you have carefully selected a site ( Site Selection Considerations) for your Softub, set the motor unit next to the Softub on the same level surface. Align the hoses from the motor unit with the fittings on the Softub. Do not plug in the motor unit at this stage.

2. Take the three hose clamps (found in accessory bag) and place them around the hoses on the motor unit. Push the motor unit towards the tub while guiding the hoses over the tub fittings. Hint: start with the air hose (smallest) first. Continue pushing until the end of the hose covers the Softub fittings.

3. Slide the hose clamps towards the tub. Allow about 3/4" of hose to show, Tighten the clamps. Hint: Make sure not to over tighten - you can always tighten more if the hose begins to leak while filling.

4a. Before starting to fill your Softub: be absolutely sure your Softub is aligned and placed where you want it; be sure to have your safety straps (if applies) aligned under the tub where you'd like them; be sure the wrinkles are removed from your Softub liner.

4b. Add about 1-2 inches of water continuing to smooth wrinkles as the tub fills. Stop filling and add 1 tablespoon of chlorine from your Softcare water treatment kit. Smooth out remaining wrinkles and continue filling until water level is about 2 inches above the top of the highest jet. (CAUTION: Make sure not to fill the tub with soft water.)

5. After the tub is filled with water, plug the motor unit directly into any standard, grounded, three opening 110 volt outlet with isolated power supply of 15 amps. (DO NOT connect to an extension cord.) The light on your plug will light up and in 10 seconds, your pump will start up. Check for leaks at clamps.

6. Get the foam insulation piece from the accessory package and place it over the hoses between the motor unit and the Softub. Cover the foam with the vinyl cover and fasten with the Velcro at the bottom.

7. Use your Softcare Water Treatment Kit and follow the recommendations to treat and test your water.

8. Your Softub is now ready to be heated to your desired temperature. Push the up button to raise the water temperature or the down button to lower water temperature. Set and adjust the water temp as needed to suit your comfort level. 100° to 104° is a good working average.

Hint: The tub will heat faster if you turn off the air control (fewer bubbles) - it's the handle on top of the motor unit, and cover the tub with the lid. The water temperature will rise about 1°-2° F per hour depending on the model. The Softub Spa will turn off after the water reaches the set temperature.
